In another module about publication, we had to create a full book cover for a book we had read. At the time, my favorite book series was the Songbird series by online author MissterMaia. It is a story about pirates and magical runes that grant the person that touches one the powers of it (lightning, fire, animation, etc). The main character, Yun Haeseon, gets the powers of the canary, so beautiful singing voice and pink hair.
His town gets attacked by a fearsome pirate, Choi Jihan, he sacrifices himself to save his town. This leads to a myriad of events he couldn't have expected and in the process, he learns how to really harness the powers of the canary's rune.
