In my second year of university, we had a module about print and publication where we were tasked to create a publication titled "8 Creative Heroes".
We got to choose eight creative individuals that have inspired us and our art. My chosen eight were Ante Badzim, Jean Michel Basquiat, Hannes Becker, Kohei Horikoshi, Liam Ashurst, Mike Kus, Vante, and Van Gogh.
The publication was to be 12-pages total, including the cover. I researched different styles and compositions and settled on making mine using geometric shapes and bright colours.
For the back cover, I used one of my personal favorite images and a quote by Ante Badzim.
At the bottom, we added a disclaimer stating that the project was solely for internal review at the university and not to be made into an actual commercial publication.
I did get an A+ for this project and I am still incredibly proud of my work on this publication, but I also definitely see room for improvement. It makes me elated knowing I have so much to learn still.
